Trout CPA, a full-service certified public accounting and business consulting firm, is seeking a Manager in our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. Our TAS practice serves both corporate and private equity clients in providing boutique buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory services. These services include financial due diligence (Quality of Earnings), net working capital analysis, structuring and valuation guidance, pre-transaction preparation engagements, and post-acquisition assistance.

The successful candidate will:

• Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and proactively consult with Managing Director as appropriate
• Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity
• Prepare and review comprehensive financial databooks
• Generate a full due diligence report
• Lead the Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding engagement matters (e.g. status updates, request lists, etc.)
• Effectively manage day-to-day client interaction and relationships
• Analyze financial information, including trends, ratios, metrics, and other analytical observations

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA strongly preferred
• Four (4) or more years of experience in public accounting with a preference to those with prior TAS / financial accounting due diligence experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets. Ability to use common formulas, such as: vlookup, hlookup, sumif, index-match, pivot tables
• Proficiency in PowerPoint
• Intellectual curiosity and an ability to concisely communicate key findings in a written report with supporting graphs and exhibits
• Comfortable navigating inconsistent accounting records and identifying material issues
• High attention to detail
