Trout CPA, a full-service certified public accounting and business consulting firm, is seeking an Associate in our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. Our TAS practice serves both corporate and private equity clients in providing boutique buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory services. These services include financial due diligence (Quality of Earnings), net working capital analysis, structuring and valuation guidance, pre-transaction preparation engagements, and post-acquisition assistance.

The successful candidate will:

• Participating in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements
• Communicating with internal team members and external clients
• Preparing comprehensive financial databooks in Excel
• Analyzing financial information, including trends, ratios, metrics, and other analytical observations
• Preparing Quality of Earnings reports in PowerPoint with the assistance of internal team

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • CPA is advantageous but not required
• Two (2) or more years of experience in public accounting with preference to those with prior TAS or Assurance experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets. Ability to use common formulas, such as: vlookup, hlookup, sumif, index-match, pivot tables
• Proficiency in PowerPoint
• Intellectual curiosity and an ability to concisely communicate key findings in a written report with supporting graphs and exhibits
• Comfortable navigating inconsistent accounting records and identifying material issues
• High attention to detail
