Trout CPA, a full-service certified public accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant in its Tax division. This individual will participate in tax engagements and some small business financial statements. They will have responsibility for preparing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns; and assist in client management activities. 

Major responsibilities and duties include: 

• Lead small client engagements, which include planning, executing, directing and completing tax projects 
• Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements 
• Prepare partnership, corporate and individual income tax returns; prepare small business compiled and reviewed financial statements 
• Multi-state tax or estate & trust experience is a plus  

The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar field 
• Three (3) to five (5) years of strong tax preparation experience preferably with a CPA firm 
• If not currently a CPA, plans to sit for the CPA exam 
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills 
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines 
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
